Author’s Pen was set up in 2020 by Lesley Hart, a line and developmental editor specialising in fiction and narrative non-fiction. With her MA in Creative Writing and membership of CIEP (the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading) since 2018, Lesley has helped hundreds of writers to improve their craft and then publish or self-publish their work.

For several years, Lesley worked closely with Helen Hart at SilverWood Books. When Lesley’s circumstances changed, Helen was her natural successor, and has taken over the operation of Author’s Pen. This allows writers to continue to receive high quality advice, mentoring, editing and publishing services.
